AliExpress Wishlist Keeps Disappearing? Here's a Fix
Items vanish from an AliExpress wishlist for ordinary reasons: the seller pulls the listing, the region changes, or the app quietly drops it. What to check inside the app, and how to keep a copy that does not depend on one marketplace.

A vanished wishlist can describe several different failures. The whole list may appear empty. One folder may be missing. A handful of products may have disappeared because their listings ended. Or the items may still exist but no longer appear under the region, account, or filter you are viewing.
Treat these as separate cases. Repeatedly refreshing the same screen will not fix an account mismatch, and restoring the old link will not help when a seller has replaced the listing.
Before changing anything, capture what you can see. Take a screenshot of the empty or incomplete list, note whether you are using the app or website, and record the login method, delivery country, currency, and any active filters. Those details make it much easier to reproduce the problem.
If your AliExpress wishlist disappeared, check identity first
Start with the least destructive explanation: you are seeing a different account context.
AliExpress can be accessed through several sign-in routes. If you originally used Google, Apple, Facebook, or another linked method, typing an email address directly may not always return you to the same account context. Compare the account identifier, masked email, saved addresses, message history, and past orders. If the order history is unfamiliar or empty too, the wishlist itself may not be the primary problem.
Next, check the selected delivery country and currency. Marketplace catalogs vary by destination because sellers may not ship every product everywhere. A region change can therefore make products harder to see even if you previously saved them.
Finally, remove collection, category, stock, or other filters and check every wishlist folder. Test both the web interface and the current app interface if you have access to them, but do not repeatedly reinstall the app before confirming the account. Reinstallation may remove useful local clues without repairing server-side data.
Recover an item when the old listing is gone
A wishlist entry is only a pointer to a marketplace listing. Sellers may end a listing, replace it, change its availability, or stop shipping it to your destination. In that case, the old product page may be unavailable even though equivalent products remain.
Search with durable attributes rather than a promotional title. Useful clues include:
- the product type, model code, material, dimensions, voltage, or connector;
- a distinctive phrase from the title;
- the seller or store name;
- screenshots or product images used in a reverse-image search;
- the URL or item identifier from browser history, chat, email, or a shared message;
- order details if you bought a related variant before.
For electronics and replacement parts, match the specification—not just the photograph. Two components can look identical while using different voltages, pin layouts, frequencies, sizes, or regional standards. For clothing, compare the seller’s measurements and fabric composition instead of assuming that the same size label means the same fit.
If you find a replacement listing, treat it as a new candidate. Check seller information, current reviews, shipping terms, return conditions, total delivered cost, and specifications again. A familiar image does not prove it is the same offer.
Keep marketplace saves outside the marketplace
The durable fix is not to abandon AliExpress wishlists. They remain convenient while you browse. The fix is to avoid making any retailer the only record of an item you genuinely care about.
Save important candidates to a cross-store collection with a human description. dEssence can hold items saved through its Chrome extension, Telegram bot, or the web app at dessence.ai. There is no native iOS or Android app. Record why the item mattered and the stable details needed to find an alternative: “12V warm-white cabinet strip, 2 metres, EU plug” is much more recoverable than “lighting.”
Saving to dEssence does not automatically monitor anything. If a saved candidate reaches your shortlist, you can deliberately set up price or stock watching for that item. Free is $0 forever and includes up to 20 saves a day plus watching 10 things with daily checks, with no card required. Pro is $10 a month, allows up to 1,000 saves a day, watches 100 things with hourly checks, and includes advanced search.
A watch cannot revive a permanently removed marketplace listing. Its value is in following a live saved candidate while it remains available. Your description and specifications are what help you find the next suitable listing if that candidate disappears.
When to contact AliExpress support
Contact support after you have proved that the correct account and region are active and the loss affects more than a few ended listings. Make the report narrow: say whether the entire wishlist, one folder, or particular items vanished; when you last saw them; which interface and device you used; and what troubleshooting you completed.
Avoid sending passwords, full payment-card details, or unrelated identity documents in an ordinary support message. Use official support routes reached from the AliExpress site or app, and verify the domain before entering account information.
Questions about missing AliExpress wishlist items
Can an unavailable product return?
A seller may relist a product or make it available to your destination again, but the replacement may use a different page. Search using product attributes and reassess the new listing rather than assuming the old wishlist entry will return.
Does an empty wishlist mean the account was hacked?
Not by itself. A login-method mismatch, region change, filter, interface problem, or listing removal can produce similar symptoms. If you also see unfamiliar orders, messages, addresses, or security changes, secure the account and contact official support promptly.
Should I save every marketplace item externally?
No. Duplicate the items whose loss would cost you time: researched purchases, exact replacement parts, gifts, size-specific clothing, or products you are waiting to buy. Casual browsing does not need an archival workflow.
