Use community threads as a second signal. Search within a current thread for the product name or color, and compare timestamps. A comment saying “restocked” may refer to a different length or an update that has already sold through. You do not need to monitor every discussion all day.
If a saved link starts redirecting to a category page, search the exact product name on the retailer's site and compare the details before saving a replacement. A similar new listing may have a different fabric or cut. Do not silently substitute it for the item you originally wanted.
