Indeed Saved Jobs Disappeared: How to Find and Back Them Up

Saved jobs vanish when the posting expires, when you signed in a different way, or when you are on a different Indeed domain. How to tell which, and what to keep so an expired listing still tells you what you applied for.

Indeed Saved Jobs Disappeared: How to Find and Back Them Up

If your Indeed saved jobs disappeared, check the account and My Jobs tabs before assuming the listings are gone. A missing shortlist and a job that no longer opens are different problems. The first can be an account or display issue; the second may mean the employer closed the vacancy.

Start with one missing role you remember well. Write down its employer, title, location and approximate save date. Those clues make every recovery step faster, especially if you later need to search outside Indeed.

Indeed saved jobs disappeared: check the account first

Open your account settings and inspect the actual email address. If you previously used Continue with Google, use that same route while troubleshooting. Email sign-in and Google sign-in do not automatically mean separate accounts, but choosing a different Google profile can put you in one.

Check your other device before changing anything. If the role appears there, compare account details and copy the description immediately. Avoid creating another account as a troubleshooting step: that gives you another empty shortlist without explaining the original problem.

Return to the country version of Indeed where you found the job, using browser history if necessary. Treat this as a consistency check, not proof that changing regional domains deletes saved jobs. Keep the country, account and search location consistent while comparing results.

Find missing saved jobs in My Jobs

Open the profile or account menu and choose My Jobs. On layouts that expose My Jobs directly in navigation, select it there. Review Saved, Applied, Interviews and Archived rather than stopping at the first empty tab. Indeed describes these four sections in its help article, What Is My Jobs?.

Saved holds roles kept for later. Applied concerns applications, Interviews holds roles at that stage, and Archived keeps applications you have put aside. Applying on an employer's own website may require you to update the status yourself; do not assume Indeed recorded that submission.

Scan by employer as well as job title. A familiar company name may be easier to spot than a title that was shortened in the list. If you find the role under another status, record that status before making changes so you do not accidentally mislabel an application.

Compare the app with the website

Sign in to Indeed in a browser using the same account as the app, then repeat the My Jobs check. If the browser shows your saved roles, the list still exists even if the app is failing to display it.

Refresh the page, close and reopen the app, and install an available app update. If needed, sign out and back in after confirming you can access the account's sign-in method. Change one thing at a time so you know what helped.

Do not start by deleting account data or repeatedly reinstalling the app. First capture any roles that remain visible. If both versions show the same gap, move on to the original listing and your own application records.

When an Indeed saved job no longer opens

Search the employer's careers website for the exact title and location. An expired or withdrawn Indeed listing does not establish whether the employer has filled the position, paused recruitment or moved the advertisement. The employer's current careers page is a better place to check whether applications remain open.

If a replacement listing appears, compare its requisition number, responsibilities and location before treating it as the same vacancy. Similar titles can describe separate teams. Keep the old and new links together with a note explaining the uncertainty.

Next, search browser history for the company name and check application confirmation emails, downloaded descriptions and documents you prepared for the role. These can recover the requirements even when the public page has disappeared. A recruiter you have already contacted may also be able to provide the description.

Old records need a separate check. Indeed's My Jobs: Managing Archived Jobs says jobs are automatically removed from Archived after six months. That documented rule is about Archived; it is not evidence that every Saved job expires after six months.

Back up the description before the posting closes

For each role you seriously consider, keep the actual description alongside the URL. On desktop Chrome, open the full listing, expand any hidden description, then choose the three-dot menu > Print > Destination > Save as PDF. Inspect the preview: some pages print navigation while omitting the job text.

If the preview is incomplete, copy the visible description into a document instead. Include responsibilities, required qualifications, location, working arrangement and any stated compensation. Preserve the original wording where it matters for interview preparation, and add the date you captured it.

Use a filename such as Company — Role — Location — Saved date. In the same record, add the application date, submission route, requisition number and the resume version you sent. Write Pending if you have not applied; opening an application form does not mean it was submitted.

With dEssence, save the job through the Chrome extension, Telegram bot or web app, and include the description text plus your application note. Open the saved item to check that the text is present; if necessary, add it yourself. An independent copy of the description remains useful after the source closes, while a saved link alone cannot restore a removed advertisement.

If your saved list is still missing

Contact Indeed support with the affected account email, approximate dates, device, browser or app version, and one example job link if you have it. Explain whether the whole list vanished or only particular roles failed to open. Include which tabs and sign-in route you checked.

For future applications, make the backup part of deciding to apply. Save the description, record what you sent, and reopen the copy once. That small check leaves you with something concrete to prepare from when an interview invitation arrives weeks later.
