Where are my bookmarks on Quora?

On the web, click your profile icon in the top right corner and select Bookmarks, or go straight to quora.com/bookmarks. If the menu has moved since, the direct address still takes you to the page on the web.

Bookmarks hold the answers, posts and shares you saved, all on that one page.

How to bookmark an answer on Quora

Click the more options menu, the "...", at the bottom of the answer, post or share, then select Bookmark, as Quora's bookmarking help describes. The item then appears on your Bookmarks page.

Add a note somewhere else at the same moment if one sentence is the reason you saved it. Quora keeps the answer, not your reason.

Start with your Quora saved area

A bookmarked answer goes to your Bookmarks page. Quora's Help Center describes that single page and does not mention lists, so start at the top and work down by question title.

Scan question titles before opening answers. This works when a bookmark is recent or you remember the question wording. It becomes slower when you remember only one piece of advice.

Why old answers are difficult to recover

The remembered insight may not appear in the question title. Advice about a difficult conversation could come from a question about managing an employee, repairing a friendship or handling criticism.

Quora knows which answer you bookmarked, but not which sentence mattered or what you planned to do with it. As a collection grows, memory offers descriptions such as:

• the answer about asking a better interview question
• the explanation of why a habit kept failing
• the reading list from someone who worked in finance
• the paragraph about speaking more clearly

Those are meaningful recall cues, but they are not useful filing labels unless you record them.

Decide what goes into Quora bookmarks

Quora keeps bookmarks on one page, so they work best as a short pile you browse. The longer it gets, the harder an old answer is to spot.

Ask when saving: Will I browse this, or will I need this exact insight? Bookmark it in Quora for browsing. Keep a separate note when the particular insight matters. The same thing happens on Reddit, where saved posts pile up unread.

Save context outside Quora

For an answer you would hate to lose, copy its link into Apple Notes, Google Keep, Notion or another app you already open. Add one sentence explaining why you kept it:

• Use this before the next salary conversation.
• Send this explanation to Carla.
• Try the second interview question.
• Read the book mentioned near the end.

A cropped screenshot can preserve an important passage, but add the question title or a note. A folder of unnamed screenshots is harder to search than the original bookmarks.

Raindrop or another bookmark manager can hold links from Quora and other sites. dEssence is another option when you prefer describing a saved item in your own words rather than maintaining lists.

Choose by how you want to return

• Quora bookmarks: suitable for a few answers, recent returns or browsing broad topics.
• Notes app: useful for your own explanation, an excerpt or a project connection.
• Bookmark manager: useful for links collected across websites.
• Recall tool: useful when you remember ideas more readily than titles, tags or folders.

The bookmark preserves the location. Your note preserves the reason you wanted it back.
